The ISO 9001:2000 standard is an internationally recognized management system standard developed by the International Organization for Standards.
- The ISO 9001:2000 standard is established for all companies and organizations regardless of mission, industry, nationality, size, ownership or any other designation.
- Recognized worldwide.
- Since its inception in 1987, less than 5% of the companies in the world, and less than 1% of all companies in the United States, have been registered as ISO compliant, signifying that they have met the stringent audit requirements of a third-party ISO authorized registrar. These ISO audits are continuous and ongoing to maintain ISO certification and registration.
- In the entire relocation industry in the United States, less than one company in 1,000 has been ISO registered. Ambassador is proud to be one of those companies, having been registered in August 2000 by the largest registrar in the world, the British Standards Institution, Inc.
- ISO 9002 registration is rapidly becoming a prerequisite for doing business in many industries throughout the world. Even today, discriminating buyers are mandating ISO certification for suppliers and service providers whenever possible.
ISO Certification results in:
- Improved productivity and efficiency, leading to significant cost reductions
- Higher level of customer satisfaction, due to greater consistency of products and services
- Improved employee job satisfaction - from employees knowing exactly what is expected
- A stronger framework for a company through continuous quality improvement
